I was wandering the streets looking for a place to stay and a guy offered me a place to stay and a job so I can get to know America and the people in it

I got the supplies that I bought for the journey. Bought a horse and left for California

Met Desmond

May 2, 1915

I was on my way when one night I tied my horse to a metal pole and then the lightning struck the pole and my horse went into flames and died.

Me and Desmond were near California and were attacked by some bandits that were hiding. We shot them down and the rest of the ran away

We finally reached the town on the first and we separated so Desmond could go to his brothers farm and I could go to Carlos’s land
