    on May 28, 1934 the Dionne Quintuplets were born. The birth of these sisters brought lots of media attention. Fortunately, all sisters made it to adulthood. They were the only quintuplets to survive past birth. They were all from Callander, Ontario. During The Great Depression all Canadians were sad and depressed. The birth of the quintuplets brought joy and happiness to many Canadians showing them that it is possible.

    On July 3, 1934, the Bank Of Canada Act is passed, which was founded by R.B.Bennett. Later in March, 1935, the Bank Of Canada was built. He was born in Hopewell Hill, New Brunswick. Without him many Canadians would still be stuck in deep debt.

    On Sept. 9, 1939, Margaret Hayworth was on a ship when her ship was hit by the enemy in a bomb attack in World War 2. She was only 10 years old when the ship was torpedoed. She was a brave soul and was too young to die in the war. Her death showed that not only soldiers were affected by the war. Her death brought great grief to not only her family but all Canadians.

    On April 25, 1940, Quebec women were finally allowed to vote, thanks to Idola Saint-Jean. She was a feminist born in Montreal. She was Quebec journalist, educator and feminist and without her, many Quebecois women wouldn't be able to vote today. She was born in Montreal, Canada.
