Swift meets his "Stella"
Swift becomes secretary in the household of Sir William Temple at Moor Park in Surrey. Swift reads a lot in Temple's library, Soon after, he meets Esther Johnson, who becomes his "Stella," later on. He also begins to suffer from Meniere's Disease this year. -

The tories were members who oppsed the beliefs of the whigs. Their name originally meant "Irish Catholic Bandits" But it was soon adopted into the party. -
