Smoking next to babies
Everyone knows that smoking next to someone expecially next to babies is very bad. Back in the 1950's many parents smoked next to their kids because they did not know what happened. According to the article "Blowing Smoke" it states that, "Gee, mommy, you sure enjoy your marlboro"? This shows how even babies advertised cigarettes and it showed parents it was okay to smoke next to babies. -
Smoking causes Cancer
In 1964, the US Sergeon General declared that smoking causes cancer and many people took that seriously. According to the article "Blowing Smoke" it states that, "After reaching nearly 43 percent in 1966 , the percentage of adult smokers in the US began to fall." This quote shows that after the US general declared that smoking causes cancer many Americans stopped smoking. -

According to the article "Cigarettes Kill" it states that, "Congress banned such ads in 1969." This shows how after 1969 no one could make ads that promoted ciagrettes becuase it was against the law. Then many people started making anti-smoking ads to help people quit smoking. -
Anti-smoking ads
As time went by many doctors knew what cigarettes can do to the human body and soon many people also knew about this. The CDC made many anti-smoking ads to tell about what smoking can do. So as more time went by anti-smoking ads became more scarier and disturbing.
