Born August 2, 1820 and Died 1893 by accidental overdose of chloral hydrate which he was taking for insomnia. His wife administered the overdose. -

completing his PhD and returned to England after very little luck at first, Tyndall finally landed professorship of natural Philosophy at Royal Institution in London. -

began to research thermal radiation and serious studies began on May 9,1859 of the action of radiant heat. -
Royal Society Lecture
John Tyndall demonstrated the studies of radiant heat at a Royal Society lecture. His demonstration gave confirmation to what we know as Greenhouse effect today. -
