John and Harriet
John Stuart Mill marries Harriet Taylor Mill in the spring of 1851. Mill held and elevated view of Harriet, and even made her co author of much of his work before her death. Harriet would go on to die in 1858 of lung congestion in Avignon, France. Mill would buy a home nearby to be close to her.

Utilitarianism- Greatest Happiness Principle
The greatest Happiness Principle is another invention of Jeremy Bentham that was adopted by Mill. It means to always act in a way that brings the most happiness to the most sentient beings. according to Mill, "it is not the agents greatest happiness, but the greatest amount of happiness altogether." Qualitative Separation
Qualitative separation is the separation of higher and lower pleasures. Or higher value and lower value. Lower measure is associated with the physical and higher with the moral.
