John Dewey
John Dewey was born October 1859 and died June 1952. He grew up in Vermont. Graduated from Vermont University and later submitted an article tot he editor of journal of speculative philosophy. He then graduated from Hopkins University in 1884 in Baltimore with a PhD. Post graduation he taught at a university in Michigan for 10 years. He wrote a few books about his thoughts on education. Pragmatism became a huge part of his success as a philosopher

Career Path
He began teaching philosophy and psychology at the University of Michigan for over ten years. in 1894 he joined philosophy at the university of Chicago. In 1904 Dewey left Chicago for Columbia University in New York City. -
