John Deweys main contribution to science was known as pragmatism. Pragmatism in philosophy is an approach that assesses the true meaning of theories. Pragmatism put simply is thinking of or dealing with problems in a practical way instead of using theory or abstract principles. Johns theory was based on the tough that something can be true without without actually needing to prove that it is universally true. For example if I were to say that the sunset is beautiful, then it is true. -
