Stamp Act resolution
After the Stamp Act got passed Adams was hit hard because he was a lawyer and the act taxed things he used like legal papers and newspapers. He wrote a resolution against it in which 40+ Massachusetts towns adopted. Because of Adams movement Britain repealed the act in 1766. -
Representative in the Colonial Legislature
In 1770 the people of Boston chose him to be one of the representatives in the Colonial Legislature -

Sent to Paris by Congress
Congress sent Adams to Paris to help Benjamin Franklin and Arthur Lee strengthen American ties with France and other European nations. -
