  • Human nature and the limits of science

Human nature and the limits of science
In this book, John Dupre warns us that our understanding of human nature is being distorted by two faulty and harmful forms of pseudo-scientific thinking. Not just in the academic world but in everyday life. John Dupre calls us to investigate a universe that is not unified in form with a pluralistic approach.
  • Humans and other animals

    Humans and other animals
In this book written in 2002, he presents a set of provocative and readable essays exploring the ways in which we categorize animals, including humans. According to Dupre nature is not organized in a single system rather it is a mistake to think that we should generalize human nature. In most of his book, Dupre calls everyone to take a different approach to the problems than what society tells us to do.
  • Darwin's Legacy

    Darwin's Legacy
For his first attempt at reaching an audience beyond his own professional circuit, John Dupre wrote Darwin's Legacy. He aimed to provide as succinct as possible an account of what Darwinism claimed, and how much was agreed or controversial. The major message of this book was about the deep entanglement of the biological and the social human evolution, but also as something that had much deeper roots in human ancestry.
