Thomas Jefferson writing the DOI changed the way America thinks and how it the people thought back then. The DOI is a way of saying America and other places have the right to do what they want and to not be controlled bu another place like what Britan did to America until they had to break off power after losing the war. -
Battles of Trent and New Jersey
These battles were a huge turning point in the war, This being because George Washington and his army were losing the wars with the British each and every time they fought, so George Washington had no idea what to do. After losing the fight In Long Island they ended up finding Valley Forge, it was a long hard winter there, many men died but they pulled through it and later left and crossed the almost iced river to get to the Hessian soldiers on Christmas day of 1776. -
Howe captures Philadelphia
The British ended up capturing Philadelphia on sept. 26, 1776 so while the British and Howe are living in the best homes in Phili the Continental army are freezing in the winter starving cold and not even having much gun powder to even fight with. -
Articles of Confederation
The Articles of Confederation did nothing for America, They seen it as something that was just created to just be there. It was orgianlly made to get taxes, land, and more, Many states thought this was a good idea until it went down hill. Money later became a problem but not until later. -
American and British Battle of Saratoga
The battle of Saratoga was a turning point in the war it was two crucial wars that happened 18 days apart. Thankfully it was a won fight for the Contenitail army but it was a very long fought hard wat that no one would ever think they would've won because the British were the best fighting army at that point in time. -

The Winter at Valley Forge was terrible for the Continental army, maybe even one of the worst, this being because the men were freezing to death, starving, diseases, and the fact that they had just had the Philidelphia campaign. -
Manumission
Manumission has been practiced all over, unfortunately, but later into the revolutionary war, it started to end either because the slave owners decided to let them go or because the deed ended mainly after 6 months after a trip was made or because of thats what was on the papers for the slaves. -
