    French Fur Trade

    The French Fur Trade started because of of the fashion change in Europe in the 15th century. The main thing the French would trade for is fur, they would give iron tools, wool blankets, and guns to the Natives and would mostly make garments and hates for the wealthy. This all went downhill when the British and French started fighting for control over the territory and the resources which led to the French and Indian War.
  • Mayflower Compact

    Mayflower Compact
    The Mayflower Compact was the first permanent established European settlement. It was an agreement that the colonist were loyal to the king of England, were Christians of the lord, That they make fair laws, and that they would work together for the betterment of the Colony. This was a early example that a society should be based on a set of rules made by it's members. This document did get lost during the Revolutionary War looting though.

    King Philips War

    This was one of the deadliest wars that America has seen. This war was named after the Wampanoag Chief Metacom who was later known as King Philip. This war was the finale attempt to drive out the Colonist from their (the Natives) land. Hundreds of Wampanoag's and their allies were publicly executed and enslaved by the colonist, this was the start of America's independent identity.

    Pueblo Revolt was an uprising of most of the indigenous pueblo people against the Spanish colonizer in the province of Santa Fe De Nuevo larger then present day Mexico. The Pueblo Revolt was a very important it helped ensure the survival of Pueblo cultural traditions, Lands, Languages, Religions, and sovereignty. Javon

    The Great Awakening

    The Great awakening was a religions movement that moved across British colonies in the mid 1700's. Enlightenment was one of the main factors in this, it taught people to rebel against the government and leave their churches to find new ones. The main reason this is so important to history is because this was the time people started going into their own belief's and helped shape the world into how it is today.

    Stono Rebbellion

    The stono Rebellion was a slave revolt, In the colony of South Carolina. It was the largest slave rebellion in the south colonial era, with 25 colonists and 35 to 50 African Slaves to be killed. The stono Rebellion was very important by changing the face of slavery in Carolina, and had ramifications for other colonies as well giving them motivation to rebel also it solidified slavery in a way it hasn't been before.     The Sugar Act It cut the the duty on foreign molasses from 3 to 6 pence per gallon and it helped retain a high duty on foreign refined sugar, and prohibited the importance of all foreign rum. The Sugar Act was very important It made an attempt to raise funds from the minimally taxed Americans colonists to provide for their defense and to use strict penalties to end the smuggling trade of sugar and molasses.
