Before urbanization there were farmers and the technology of farming improved. That caused factories and the factories spread across the nation. This increased the labor of Americans workers. Everyone started to move from country to the city. The population In the city was increasing. -

Things were dirty in America. The bathroom, water and the people. Getting rad of waste was a real problem. People would have little private bathrooms and the bath would over flood because of the sewage problem. -

Americans didn't have enough money to buy food from their wages. People were getting desperate to feed their families. This lead to violence and stealing. They would formed gangs and they would work together to steal. -

Tenements was were poor and the incoming immigrants lived. Because of the overcrowding, diseases like Cholera and Yellow spend quickly. Tuberculosis was the most dangerous one. 25% babies died before they were one years old., -

Americans lived close to each other and they enjoyed better and cheaper products. Technology helped build skyscrapers which changed the skyline and electric cars. The light bulb and telephone changed every home and businesses. They could work at night because of the light bulb. -

Even though American life was getting better, there was still some problems that were still occurring. Underneath the skyline there was some amount of the population living in poverty. Overcrowding,diseases, and crime was happening in many urban communities. Everything was changing like relation to women to men or relation to a adult to a child. -

Factory and compaction spread quick in America. People need cheap houses that were close to their work. Factories would build roads to connect to markets. New American cities popped up without anyone's knowledge. Growing economy brought benefits that raised that standard of living. -

The city officials got money from illegal gambling, prostitution, even from public taxes. These was against the law but they wanted to fill their pockets. They did everything to get their votes. They used a children has young as 4 years to vote. Even a dog's name appeared in the polling list. -

Even though the population of America was growing, there were many empty sits in the protestant church. There were many who believed in the church, however there was also lots of worker who was losing faith. Due to long hours of work and small wages, they were losing hope. Many people reported against the Protestant people. At the same time a Eastern Orthodox churches and Jewish synagogues were sprouting up.
