  • Emperor Hirohito

    He became emperor in 1926 after the death of his father. He agreed to the war against China, the rebellion against Manchuria, and the surprise attack on Pearl Harbor leading to the 2nd world war. He died the best for his people and died after a long battle with illness in 1989,
  • General Douglas MacArthur

    Led an attack against the Japanese islands, and occupied all of the islands except the Japanese mainland.
  • US Rebuilds Japan

    The US rebuilds Japan to help them develop a democratic government.
  • The US Rebuilds Japan #2

    The US rebuilt Japan from the ground up and even helped them form a new constitution.
  • The Diet

    After General MacArthur found out about Japans surrender, he created the MacArthur Constitution that made a two-house parliament. He helped Japan get back on its feet by making them a constitutional monarchy.
  • Japan's New Constitution

    This was the postwar law of Japan. it created a parliamentary system of government for Japan. The emperor is not considered a god anymore.
  • Tokyo Tower

    The Tokyo Tower was made.
  • TEPCO

    Japan agreed to give TEPCO 11.5 billion dollars to help those who were affected by the worst atomic disaster in 25 years.
  • Dreamliner

    ANA flew the first Boeing Dreamliner.
  • Nissan

    Japan's Nissan said that they would invest 2 billion dollars in a new auto plant in Aguascalientes, Mexico.
