Japanese Earthquake

  • In Otsuchi a place with the population of 15,000 more than 12,000 were either dead or missing.

    1. People are affected because the number is going to decrease( the overall death toll). This will impact the amount of people in the world.
    2. The environment is changed because the debris and other things that might have fallen that might hurt the enviroment because of litter. It would also be hard for things to grow under clutters of stuff.
  • Within 35 minutes of the quake waves were sent 6 miles across land and got up to 33 feet. They called it the Honchu, Japan tsumni

  • Aftershocks

    AftershocksAbout one hour after the earthquake hit there was an aftershcok that was about a magnitude of 7.2. After this one there was about 75 more aftershocks making it even harder for people to start reasmbling there lives. There were some deaths recorded from these aftershocks.
  • Power Plant

    Power Plant The power plant expolsion was caused by the tsunmi and one of the many aftershocks. It caused the people exposed to the expolison to be more likely to get cancer.
  • The earthquake hit in Japan near Sendai Friday March 11, 2011 at 2:45 PM. Hitting at a 8.9 magnitude striking most of northern Japan. It was the largest quake to hit Japan in 100 years.
