The first rail-way in Japan was in 1872, though it was slow, it was faster than walking. Japan was thinking of getting Bullet Trains, even before WW2. Class 150 steam locomotive made Vulcan Foundry, it came to Japan in 1871, and started running in 1872. It went between Tokyo and Yokohama. -

The first automobile made in Japan was made by Komanosuke Uchiyama, he had taken a gasoline engine from the United States. The same man produced the first Japanese-made car in Japan, in 1907. -
FIRST BULLET TRAIN
This was when the first bullet train was here. Named Yume No Chotokkyu, which literally means super-express of dreams, this is known as a bullet train, which is one of the fastest in the world. -
