Invasion of French Indochina

In order to prevent the Republic of China from importing arms and fuel through French Indochina along the Sino-Vietnamese Railway, from the port of Haiphong through Hanoi to Kunming in Yunnan. Japan won.

Japan Attacked Pearl Harbor

Dec 7, 1941

Over 2,400 people were killed, 1,178 were injured. The attack at Pearl Harbor so outraged Americans that the U.S. abandoned its policy of isolationism and declared war on Japan the following day.
