    The Yamato Emperors were influenced by Chinese writing, religion, and their culture. The Chinese tried to take control of Korea, when Japan saw this they broke off all ties to China.

    The Chinese invaded Korea, but they fought back and won. They no longer had to obey the Chinese but they had learned their language, how to write and their Buddhist ways. They were influential in bringing Chinese writing and culture to Japan.
