Brochures
The first magazine, considered to be a true magazine, was published in 1663 by Johann Rist in Germany. It was called "Erbauliche Monaths-Unterredungen" (Edifying Monthly Discussions). While this was the first true magazine, earlier forms of periodicals, such as pamphlets, almanacs, and newsletters, existed before the printing press was invented in the 15th century.
