Between the US and Puerto Rico
Ever since we moved to the US every summer we would return to the Island. But it was after my first grade that these vacations became something big. -
Pen pal's
Thanksgiving was soon to come so I decided to do a drawing and write a letter to my cousins in spanish. I remember having to write the letters twice because my mother would correct my spelling. My cousins wrote back. This reenforzed and motivated my effort therefore I kept on sending letters and receiving letters for a few years. -
The return to the Island
Do to my mother's health we returned to the Island. School did not turn out to be too difficult. Thanks tomy informal way of learning the language I was capableto get on track really fast. -
From High School to College
Graduating with honors from high school I decided to study French language and literature in UPRM. Following my dreams of overcoming language barriers.
