    The burning of the Gaspee was and still is one of the most famous acts of rebelion in Rhode Island history.

    John Eldred was a true Patriot living on a nice farm. He enjoyed provoking the British ships by firing whatever he could find out of an old canon that sat on his property. One day, he was lucky enjoy to but a pot through a British sail. (EXACR DATE UNKNOW THE MONTH AND DAY ARE INCORRECT)

    The Katy was a large boat owned by the people of Rhode Island. At a cost of 1250$, she was a beautiful boat, and before war, was used as a whaling ship. The Katy was the first boat to take down a British Vessel in the war. The Katy was acquired June 15th, 1775.

    In the end, the Rhode Islander's realize without the French they can simply not win, and withdraw, leaving the British to victory. Since no one is sure when the war ended, I have but the date of the beginning below.

    The Battle of Rhode Island Begins - 1778
    The Battle of Rhode Island, also called the Battle of Quaker Hill, started August 29th 1778. This time the French and the colonists (now Rhode Islanders) were allies, fighting together against the British. And it was a good thing too, because without the French, The U.S.A would be England/Britian right about now, and I'm sure glad it's not. During the war, the French and British were ready to do battle out in the open ocean. Suddenly, a storm hit causing damage to both sides, on land and at sea.

    Finally, every state had signed the Consitution! Rhode Island has agreed at last and all the work and bloodshed is now worth it. Every disagreement, agreement, war, all led up to this moment. The United States of America was a new place, ruled by the people. not the King. Horray!
