The Battles of Lexington and Concord Lexington was the first time the Colonist and British were involved in a military engagement. The colonist were warned of the British attempt to seize an arms cache in Concord. The confrontation at Lexington forced the British to retreat under heavy fire from the Colonist. -
The Siege of Fort Ticonderoga
The Siege of Fort Ticonderoga was the first Continental Army victory and gave the Army much-needed supplies. The capture of the fort was done by the Green Mountian Boys of Vermont in a morning attack on the fort that Suprised the British troops. -

The Battle of Chelsea Creek was a Battle that ended in a victory for the American Colonist. This battle was also the first Naval victory for the Americans. The Battle was fought on salt marshes, mudflats, and islands of the Boston Harbor. -

The Battle of White Plains was the Attempt of British Soldiers to capture New York and New Jersey. The Battle ended in victory for the British. Washington and his troops were forced to retreat to New York City. -

In the Battle of Fort Washington Hessian mercenaries and five-thousand redcoats captured Fort Washington. As a result three-thousand Patriots were taken as prisonors and ammunition and supplies were lost. -

In the Battle of Trenton, New Jersey Washington defeated the Hessian mercenaries before with Drawing. This was the first of two crucial Battles won. -

In the Battle of Princeton then returned to New Jersey and coaxed the British down south. Washington and his men then executed a daring march at night and captured Princeton and most of New Jersey. -

The Battle of Oriskany was a British attempt to capture Fort Stanwix the Battle caused great loses on both sides. The Battle appeared to be a success for the British, until it was concluded the remainign forces were no match for the advancing American forces. -

In the Battle of Brandywine, British forces launched a full-scale attack on Washington and the Patriot outpost. The 18,000 redcoats forced Washington's 11,000 men to retreat resulting in the Capture of the City. -

The Battle of Germantown was a failed attempt at a surprise attack against the poorly defended British camp. Washingtons army failed to pull off the complex plan and ended up suffering major casualties. This loss made people question Washingtons leadership. -

The Battle at Bemis Heights was a major turning point in the war for the Americans. Due to the lack of reinforcements on the Briths side, the Americans were easily able to win the battle. This gave France and Spain more confidence. The French began to supply troops and Spain decided to assist aswell. -

The Battle of Monmouth was the largest and longest one day battle of the war. The battle ended in a draw due to the extream heat and lack of water. Both sides retired at nightfall, in the morning the American discovered the British left during the night. -

The Capture of Savannah was a surprise attack launched by British troops. The American forces defending Savannah were severely outnumbered. American General Robert Howe ordered the city to be evacuated and for the army to withdraw allowing the British to take control of Savvanah. -

The Siege of Charlestown ended up being the Americans worst defeat in the Revolutionary War. The Americans ended up surrendering with their army of ten-thousand. With the British victory they captured more that three-thousnad Patriots and a great amount of supplies. -
The Battle of Camden, North of Camden, South Carolina
The Battle of Camden turned out to be another loss for American forces. Despite a large number of General Gates men being ill he still attempted to engage the British. The Americans were not able to hold the front lines and the British were able to charge with their bayonets and win the battle. -
The Battle of King's Mountain Near Blackburn, SC and King's Mountain, NC
The Battle of Kings Mountian was fought between mostly loyalist and Patriots under Colonel Campbell. In the battle, the Patriots charged up the hill multiple times providing lethal marksmanship. Major Ferguson of the Loyalist was unwilling to surrender and led a charge down the mountain they were pinned down by bullets, his men attempted to surrender, but were killed out of bitterness from the Patriots. -

In the Battle of Cowpens, American troops under General Daniel Morgans command routed British forces. The American inflicted major damage on the British. The battle was considered a turning point in the Southern campaign. -
The Battle of Guilford Courthouse, North Carolina
The Battle of Guilford Courthouse was a major battle in the war. British troops under Lieutenant General Charles Cornwallis defeated the American forces. Although the British were victorious they suffered great troop losses during the battle this forced Cornwallis to abandon his campaighn in the Carolinas and tok his army to Virginia. -
The Battle of Eutaw Springs
The Battle of Eutaw Springs was one of the Bloodiest battles of the Revolution. The battle lasted for four hours before both sides retreated from the field. The Patriots suffered five-hundred losses and the British seven-hundred. The battle was a partial victory for the Patriots they now had near complete control of the South. -
The Battle of Yorktown, Yorktown, Virginia
In the Battle of Yorktown, American and French forces set siege to the British Army. The final attack took place on October 14th. The capture of two British Defenses lead to the surrender days later, Yorktown became the last battle of the Revolution and peace negotiations started soon after.
