James Ewell Brown Stuart is Born
Born in Virginia, J.E.B Stuart was one of the most famous cavalrymen of the Civil War. He was a Veteran of Bleeding Kansas and Indian fighting on the plains and he carried out orders from Robert E. Lee to proceed to Harper's Ferry and participate in the capture of John Brown. He later resigned not long after he had been promoted to a higher position. -

James Ewell Brown Stuart graduated from United States Military Academy at West Point, New York and ranked 13th of the forty six that were in the class of 1854. -
