Jagger's fur kept getting darker and their teeth and claws got longer and sharper, making them more fit for their environment. -

The Jagger's fur is now black with dark brown spots, like those a jaguar would have. They also have long and sharp teeth and claws. Their paws are also webbed, for they have to swim across bodies of water to get to different parts of their Amazon environment.
