Big Crisis 3
UAP under Lyons makes a law that allows the Government to extract money from NSW under the Financial Agreement Enforcement act of 1932
(High Court upholds) Lang compares this to SLAVERY (because he couldn't pay state employees) and due to Britain banning slavery in 1833, he takes all of the NSW Gov. Funds (in cash) and locks it up in a Pro-Lang Union Building -
Lang steps down :(
Governor Phillip Game (who was good friends with lang) told lang to stop, and though he considered arresting game he decided not to and so lang was dismissed. -

Lang still doesnt like Labor
Lang continues to lead the NSW branch of Labor independent of the ALP, which due to the division the UAP keeps winning the state. The Federals slowly gain ground due to the Trade Unions not believing in Lang. Lang is ousted in 1939 as Opposition Leader and replaced by William Mckell Photo Context: William Mckell in 1953 -
After Years
He formed the ALP (Non Communist) soon after but had little traction but continued to rail against communism during the 40's. He continued to be apart of the Legislative Assembly until 1946, resigning so he could represent Reid in the House (mainly because the Liberals gave him preferences). His son Chris won his former seat in the Legislative Assembly in the By-Election He contested Blaxland in 1949 but failed and never won a seat again, though he did run for Senate in 1951. -
