On June 5, 1950 the supreme court said that the university of texas had to let Sweatt in. -

In May 1954 the supreme court ruled in the brown case that segregation in public schools was illegal. -

Rosa Parks
African American seamstress Rosa Parks refused to give up her seat to a white passanger. She was quickly arrested. -
Segregated buses illegal
In November 1956 the Supreme Court ruled that Montgomery's segregated bus system was illegal. -
Daisy Bates
Daisy Bates, the president of Arkansas NAACP, arranged rides to the high school for the students on September 4. -
