    Noam Chomsky was born December 7th, 1928 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to Elise and William Chomsky. Noam Chomsky was alive during America's Great Depression, and it was stated that "although his family was middle class, he witnessed injustices all around him." Noam Chomsky mother Elsie, was an active member in the radical politics of the 1930s. William his father, happened to be a respected professor of Hebrew at a university named Gratz college.     Noam Chomsky at just ten years old wrote "an editorial on the rise of fascism in Europe after the Spanish Civial war for his school newspaper."     From the years 1951-1955, Noam Chomsky was a Junior Fellow of the Harvard University Society of Fellows. While a Junior Fellow, Noam Chomsky completed his doctor dissertation named "Transformational Analysis." The "major theoretical viewpoints of the dissertation appeared in the monograph "Syntactic Structure", which was published in 1957. This happened to have formed part of a more extensive piece of work entitled, "The Logical Structure of Linguistic Theory" and was published in 1975.

Noam Chomsky believed and argued that, "human beings were born with the ability to realize the generative grammars that constitute every human language." Later on works in cognitive science helped to have supported his claims.     Over the course of 1964-1986, Noam Chomsky had written many well known articles which include but are not limited too, "Current Issues in Linguistic Theory (1964)"," Aspects of the Theory of Syntax (1965)", and "Studies on Semantics in Generative Grammar (1972)", and " Knowledge of Language (1986)" As you can see he was a very intellectual philosopher with plenty of work to support his many theories.
