Acerbo Law is passed
The government passed the Acerbo Law, which transformed Italy into a single national constituency. This gave Mussolini's fascit party the majority of deputies in parliment. The Acerbo Law stated that the party gaining the largest share of the votes gained two-thirds of the seats in parliament. -
Italty invades Abyssinia
Mussolini orders that Abyssinia be invaded. Italy’s 100,000 strong army invaded, it used tanks, flame-throwers, and chemical warefare. By May 1936, Italy had conquered Abyssinia. A total of 775,000 people died. -

The Anti-Comintern Pact was an anti-communist pact concluded between Nazi Germany and the Empire of Japan. Italy signed a year after Germany and Japan, thereby forming the group that would be known as the Axis Powers. -
Pact Of Steel signed
The Pact of Steel was originally intended to be a military alliance between Japan, Italy, and Germany. Japan wanted the focus of the pact to be aimed at Russia, while Italy and Germany wanted it aimed at Britain and France. Due to this disagreement, the pact was signed without Japan and became an agreement between Fascist Italy and Nazi Germany. This was an open declartion of continuing trust and cooperation between Germany and Italy.
