The Fourth League of Legends World Championship, held all around Asia in countries such as Taiwan, Singapore, and South Korea. Often remembered as the championship held in the Seoul World Cup Stadium in Busan, South Korea and remembered as one of the best musical performances for a video game with Imagine Dragons performing "Warriors". -
The Sixth Worlds
The Sixth League of Legends World Championship. Significant due to SK Telecom T1, one of the most dominant teams in all of Esports history, wins their 3rd world title out of the 3 times they've participated in the tournament. -

Franchised leagues for North America and China begins. 10 teams in North America and 14 teams in China. -

As of February 13th, 2019, League of Legends continues to be one of the most popular online video games. This year will mark its 10 year anniversary and also includes a new beginning for the formally known EULCS, now a franchised league called the "League of Legends European Championship Series".
