    IOT
    Core concepts studied today:
Presence of IOT in todays World
Six pillars of Cisco IoT System
Network Connectivity, Fog Computing, Cyber Security and Physical Security, Data Analytics, Management and Automation, Application Enablement Platform.
    Overview of a controlled system
How do sensors work and how devices use open and close loop in controlled systems to operate the IoT systems.
Actuators, Controllers are used to control the IoT Process Flow and it makes the whole system work.
  • IOT session 2

Last week we did six pillars along with its importance in the world. We also had a look at the controlled systems, working of sensors, Actuators, Controllers and how they are used to control process flow.
  • Lab | Solar panel and led | assignments

Lab | Solar panel and led | assignments
Last week I worked at the assignment 3 for project management and handed it in. I started the assignment during the lesson and then Tried to complete it and handed it in.
Today we did our very first lab at IoT. It was basic and simple yt we encountered some inconsistencies such as the instructions on how to add fast ethernet connection via port for the remote devices wasn't clear also the username and passwords weren't working. We also had a look at our assignments and it seems easy.
  • IOT Lab 2.1 - Simulating the IoT Devices

IOT Lab 2.1 - Simulating the IoT Devices
Today I build a lab 2.1 and it was about simulating an IoT Device with in the network. It involves building a network, connecting the components, running the default code and then run the code after a slight modification in it. The modification was made in the python script to ensure that the servo would move along with the blinking led. The components of the network include the following: SBC-PT single board computer, led and servo meter.
  • IoT Chapter 3 - Lab 2.2

    IoT Chapter 3 - Lab 2.2
Last week I did the Lab 2.1 for the IoT. It consisted of SBC-PT single board computer, led and servo meter. The lab was about simulating the IoT devices and make them response to certain type of situations and the LED and the servo meter were programmed to show responses according to the input value given to the end devices.
Today we had a look at chapter 3. it consists of Programming code, why is it important, some IoT system information and finally the Linux which is an open source.
  • IOT Lab 5.3.2.8 - Explore the Smart City

IOT Lab 5.3.2.8 - Explore the Smart City
So the lab is about a MAN about a smart city which involves the exploring and analyzing of the cloud usage in smart city. It involves the involvement of wired and wireless connections from the Cell Tower0 and different LANs which connect together to contribute into a smart City. The sub divisional LANs which contribute into the Smart city include ISP cloud, Smart Grid, City Offices, Cell Tower0, Smart Home, Smart Traffic and Smart Parking.
The login was done using IOT Monitor again.
  • IoT Chapter 5 - Smart Grid 5.3.3.4

    IoT Chapter 5 - Smart Grid 5.3.3.4
Today I completed the first lab for chapter 5 and also did the 2nd lab for chapter 5. I enjoyed doing it and also it gave me an overview and also helped me in detailed understanding of the concept on how the IoT System works, what are the components and how they contribute within the network. It consists of 3 separate power generating methods and the power grid is smart, it switches accordingly as if when the Sun is able to provide power it used solar cells and wind turbine at night.
