Organizing proposal and presenting ideas. Seeking support and proposals from select faculty who are willing to use them in class. Choosing 2-4 prospective faculty for this year. -

Acquisition and putting together
Pulling together iOS devices, provisioning them and training on them. Putting devices together with cart/cases. Training student workers/staff in checkout and procedures. -

Our first classes try out the iOS device cart. ATS staff (& students) are committed to providing support time on a daily basis if necessary -

First formative evaluation of program: researching better ways and more apps for more faculty; helping faculty re-write syllabi for iPad use -

Four to nine more classes participate in the program; these may be FYEs and half-block classes. We'd like to engage in a study with other iPad-using classes/colleges to study the efficacy for use in classrooms - do students learn more/better/more engagedly? Other research?
