    Many of the most important inventions in history occurred during this century. They change our society, making transportation, communications, and coexistence in general easier.

    Samuel Morse created the telegraph with Alfred Vail in USA. The idea came when he observed that if you interrupted a circuit there would be a small glow and he decided to use it for communication. This invention helped with the development of railways, ensured market finances, reduced information costs and clearly to communicate with other people in long distances.

    NOBEL PATENTED DYNAMITE
    Alfred Nobel (1833-1896) was born in Sweden and he is the person who gives the name to one of the greatest prizes. Dynamite is known to be a strong explosive whose main component is nitroglycerin. The discovery also involves Ascanio Sobrero. It is important due to its three main uses: demolition, mining and railway line work.

    Alexander Graham is originally from Scotland but moved to the USA where the invention was created.He was interested in transmitting a message instantly without having to know Morse code. He combined the telegraph and the record player to create the telephone.The first words said on the phone are: “Mr. Watson, come here, I need you".

    He worked as a telegram receiver and loved inventions. He wasn´t the first person to invent the incandescent lamp, however he was the first to make a design that was practical. With a carbon thread that lasted a long time and with a great generator, he implemented this discovery. The light bulb changed our daily habits e.g. increase in working hours.

    Benz, born in Germany, created the first car because of his love for tricycles and this is the reason why the first car had three wheels. The first car worked with a single core that connected the engine to the 4 wheels. The car represented a change in transportation, making it easier and faster. The Mercedes-Benz brand belonged to this inventor.

    Auguste and Louis Jean Lumiére were the inventors of this machine. The Cinematograph was a film camera that also functioned as a photo developer and projector: lenses and chargers needed to be changed to switch between the three functions. It could capture moving images and the cinematograph allowed us to spread ideas through films but permanently have it.

    Marconi is originally from Italy, but he moved to England where they were interested in his experiments. Although it was a very interesting discovery, it led to a bigger one with the first transatlantic wireless transmission. This device transmits the message through electromagnetic waves. The main argument for, it is the adaptation and the enormous flexibility to use it.

    This flight was the first to be completely controlled by a pilot, although it was achieved on the second attempt. The airplane was created in the USA and the Wright brothers had to create the engine because there wasn't such light engine and the first airplane propellers. The aviation has proposed us to have safer and faster transportation connecting the whole world.
