the steam engine was invented by James Watt. it was invented on January 19, 1736. it was invented in england. it made it cheaper and easier to ship fresh goods all around the county. steam engines are no longer being used but other trains are still used. -
Steamboat
John fitch invented the steamboat on August 22, 1787 in the Delaware River. the boat shortened the travel time on rivers and could hold more goods then the manpowered boat. the steamboat is no longer used today but the idea of shipping goods by water is still used today. -
Railroads
John Stevens is the inventor of the railroad. He made it in april 6, 1815. it was first used in New Jersey. the railroad made it easier to ship goods and connect states. the railroad is still highly used today. -
Erie Canal
Dewitt Clinton was the inventor of the Erie canal he invented it on may 17, 1821. it is located in new york and runs to the hudson river. it improved water transportation and is still being used today -
Mechanical Reaper
the mechanical reaper was invented by Cyrus McCormick. it was invented in Patent issued June 21, 1834. it was inveted in virginia. it made farming easier by making it easy to harvest their crops. the mechanical reaper is not being used anymore today. -
Telegraph
Samuel Moise invented the telegraph he invented it on june 10, 1837 in Charlestown, Massachusetts. it allowed long distant comunication for the first time ever it is still used today infact in 1970 there were moe then 69 million handled calls. -
Morse Code
Samuel Morse invented morse code in january 20, 1840. it was also invented in charlestown. the invention allowed the telegraph to be used by giving it a language based of vibrations the language is still comenly used today in the military. -
vulcanized rubber
charles Goodyear invented vulcanized rubber on junuary 24, 1844. the rubber was first sold in New york. vulcanized rubber wqas first added onto the shoe and is still used today on tires hockey pucks and are in most car engines as transmision belts. -
sewing machine
Elias Howe invented the seewing machine on september 10, 1846. the sewing machine made it easier to produce and manufacture close and other cloth materials ona large scale. the machine is still being used today but a more modern model. -
steel plow
John Deere invented the plow in Illinois on Fubruary 21, 1865. the plow made it easier to plant seeds and is still used today.
