    Jean -Baptiste Denys invents a method of blood transfusion. I think this invention changed society because it made it possible for people to give and recieve blood. Meaning that more people could survive illness and live a longer life.

    18th Century
    Georges Louis Lesage patents the electric telegraph. An electric telegraph could have impacted society in a big way. It allowed people to send messages faster than sending a letter through the mail and they could be sent all around. Making it much easier and faster for people to communicate with one another.

    John Walker invents modern matches. They may not be as popular today, but people still do use them. So I think they impacted society because it allowed people to have fire whenever they wanted. A long time ago they would have been very helpful, and allowed people quickly have light, start a fire, etc.

    Willis Carrier ivents air conditioning. Without air conditioning people would be very cranky in the summer. It probably changed society alot, people who were use to having hot houses in the warm months were able to enjoy cool houses. Making the warm months bearable.

    21th Century
    Mark Zukerburg and his college roomates invent the social networking site Facebook. This socail networking site has impacted society greatly. With facebook people are able to communicate with people all around the world, share pictures and what they are up to, put up advertisements, and more all on this one site.
