    Contribution: Low cost computer that had a had a floppy disk drive. Because of how affordable it was, it was a staple for many homes and businesses.

    Contribution: The World Wide Web allowed people to type in URLS, search web pages, and each web page would load images. It was not plain like the first web browsers that existed.
  • Windows 95

    Contribution: People were able to use microsoft word on this operating system. Also, there was a start button implemented so you could click start and see a list of any programs installed. It also implemented a taskbar and a notification area.

    Contribution: These computers were incredibly affordable. A lot of school districts were able to purchase them as the first computers for students. They were cheaper than standard computers, and were basically an "all-in-one" computer without the disk drives.
