Dishwasher
Joel Houghton made and invented the first working dishwasher in 1850. The dishwasher was made to wash plates, cups and cutlery instead of using your hands to wash them. The dishwasher works by pumping water and soap onto the plates, cups, and cutlery washing them until they are crystal clean. -
Machine gun
Richard Gatling invents the first machine gun in 1862 which becomes very popular in armies and places that need protection. The machine gun is a fully automatic rifle that can be mounted or portable. Richard Gatling had made this deadly weapon to enhance wars and made death quick and easy. While his gun didn't last long a new and improved machine gun had been invented by Sir Hiram Maxim in 1884 which carried on to one of the most deadly weapons ever made -
Telephone
Alexander Graham Bell invents the telephone in 1876. The telephone was invented to communicate easier throughout the country and had changed our world today, becoming a world phenomenon with a profit of millions of dollars. Alexander wanted to take it a step further and make it "wireless" so you can talk to people though land lines on the telephone. A telephone works by sending sound waves (of our voice) through the land line to the other person on the other side of the phone. -
Moving pictures (TV, movies, etc)
Eadweard Muybridge invents moving pictures in 1877. The "moving picture" was not at all like we have today. It was a series of pictures flipping through a wheel that showed a variety of scenes that created a film. Moving pictures then when onto "motion pictures" which is most definitely what we have today. Moving pictures had been invented to change our world today, there is no TV no movies no famous actors, and especially no creativity would have been found if it wasn't for Eadweard Muybridge. -
Crayons
Edward Benny and Harold Smith invent the coloring invention that is crayons in 1903. Crayons were invented for having a safer way for children to draw or colour. It was noticed that people needed a safe affordable way to keep their children satisfied without worrying their kids will get hurt or sick. Crayons came in many different colours which was different from any other company. It had shocked the world and the Crayola brand still stand today.
