The first telephone
Inventor Alexander Graham Bell, patented the first telephone in the U.S in 1876. Electric undulations were caused by transmitting vocal or other sounds telegraphically. While home phones aren't are common anymore, telephones have evolved to be a part of our person everyday lives. Some may say we cannot live without it. -
The microphone
Also invented by Alexander Graham Bell, he patented the first microphone. A wire would send electrical direct currents which would then be generated as audio signals and read by a moving armature transmitter and the receiver. Bell's invention is used everyday by tv, content creators, and everyday people who simple make phone calls. -
The incandescent lightbulb
Thomas Edison invented a high-resistance carbon-thread filament which would become an incandescent light build, that burned steadily for hours and an electric generator sophisticated enough to power a large lighting system. Edison's practical design allowed us to take light and install it wherever we go. -
First electric railway
Electric railways were first created in Berlin by engineer Werner von Siemens. These railways were originally thought to be used in urban mass transit but have now extended to transporting everyday people, goods, and supplies in various countries. -
The creation of Headphones.
The first headphones, invented by Ezra Guilliland, weighed over 10 pounds and were used by phone operators. It was one single earpiece that would rest on the operator's shoulders. This inspired the creation of modern day audio headphones that would allow us to privately connect and listen to our favorite songs, podcasts, and shows.
