Beck and the other climbers arrive in Nepal, marking the beginning of the Adventure

Beck & others on the Adventure Consultants Guided Expidition reach Phakding, the first stop on the trip.

The climbers spend the nightin Phakding, and begin making the trek to Base Camp, and begin the task of acclimitizing.

The climbers arrive in Tengboche, the most important Buddhist monastery, and recieve blessings from the "head lama" of Nepal who speaks to them, and offers a token intended to please God and ward off harm.

The team arrives for the first time at Base Camp, after spening the night in Lobuje. They are happy to arrive due to the nice conditions at camp.

The team makes the first acclimatization ascent on April 13.

The team begins the 2nd acclimitizing trip, ending the day at Camp one.

The team arrives at Camp 2 for the first time during an acclimitizing trip.

The group leaves Base Camp for the last time, planning to summit on May 10, only 4 days later.

The team slowly makes it to the South Col, shortly after they reach elevations of above 8,000 meters (26,000 ft), reffered to as the death zone.

Because none of the Sherpas went to set ropes, there are at least 30 people waiting on the Mt.

The Dreded Vertical Step, no lines were set up.

At 27,600 feet, Beck is just waiting for a guide to go down the mountain. At this point, the effects of the higher elevation have blinded him, due to an eye surgurey previous to the expedition.

Beck is still standing there when Mike Groom comes down the mountain. Groom decides to guide Beck, still blind, down the mountain

Namba begins being dragged, along with Beck by Groom.

Neil Beidlman leads Groom, Beck, Namba, and 2 Sherpas down the Tibetan side of the mountain by mistake. Then they begin wandering around.

Beck, in the "huddle", decides that he knows what to do. He stands up, and is blown off the mountain. Boukreev reports that he is dead.

Beck and Namba are left for dead by those who were sent to find them.

4:35 pm, Beck Weathers arrives at camp by himself. What seems to be a miracle, Beck stumbled his way to camp after coming in and out of consciousness. They give him hot water bottles and cover him in sleeping bags, trying to keep him warm.

Overnight, Beck's tent is blown away and he is stripped of his sleeping bag. He is still alive though. He is given an injection and tea, and they are still wondering weather it is safe to bring him down.

Beck finnaly sees a doctor at camp 2, after being brought down by 2 Sherpas

At Base Camp, a helicopter has been arranged for Beck and Gau. Gau is taken first, as only one passenger can be on at a time, but Beck makes it off Everest alive.
