Chris took his old datsun and drove west. he had to abandon his datsun in arizona after a flood -

Alex hitches a ride from Wayne in South Dakota. Wayne then offers Alex a job and so he begins working at his grain elevator in Carthage. -

Alex sneaks across the border in a kayak. The coast was blcoked and some Mexicans gave him a ride to the Coast. Alex then abandons his kayak and returns to America -
Coming back to America
Alex is caught by immigration police at the border -
Bullhead City
Chris arrives in Bullhead City, Arizona where he settles down in a trailer and starts his job at McDonalds. -
Chris meets Franz
Alex set up camp outside of Salton City, CA. He was picked up by Franz while hitchhiking -
Chris leaves Franz
heads towards San Diego -
Back to South Dakota
Alex was homeless but soon was able to get near Franzs house again. Franz picks up Alex and drives him to Colorado. -
Going to Alaska
While hitchhiking Alex meets Jim, They instantly become friends -
Great Leaving
The stampede trail was not possible so Chris made the bus his shelter and home. -
Moose kill
Chris shot and killed a 600 p0und moose. This shows what Chris was capable of doing -
hunting is not easy
hunting is getting difficult and Chris has to eat more wild plants and vegetables since theres less wild game -
Alexs accident
he ate bad potato seeds which ended up getting him sick -
Alex left a note
Alex was very weak and he left a note on the door saying that he needed help -
Alex Dies
the last note that he left says "I have had a happy life and thank the Lord. Goodbye and may God bless all!"
