    Treaty of Versailles- June 1919
    The Treaty of Versailles was signed in Versailles on June 1919, made by the victors of WWI it caused Germany to go into a state of repair and financial instability. It stopped Germany from being able to advance in their military powers by limiting their navy, creating Rhineland, and by stopping the creation of their Air Force. It instead created extreme nationalism which created the roots for WWII and Hitler.

    The Third International was created in Moscow in the March of 1919 to overthrow the international class system and install communism internationally. It aided revolutionary groups in hopes that they would rise up against their governments and overthrow the class system. Its impact during WWII was that it aided the allies because it was invaded by Germany.

    The League of Nations was an attempt to make international security and peace. It was made in the 1920's, it was comprised of different world leaders internationally. It's main goal was to prevent another world war from happening. It was a factor in the creation of WWII because it couldn't do it's job of preventing another war.

    Benito Mussolini a war veteran founded the Fascist Party. In October 1922 the Fascist Party gained control of the Italian government and turned Italy into a Fascist country. He wanted a strong nationalism in his country, his Black-Shirts helped him take out any opposition. Mussolini and Hitler were allied during WWII because of their similar ideals.

    The Hopeful Years- 1924-1929
    The Hopeful years were a span of 5 years where Gustav Stresemann tries to fix the effects of the Great Depression. Because Germany was about to collapse America and other countries made a new plan called the Dawes Plan. They fixed the hyperinflation by temporarily making a new currency called the Rentenmark. The plan helped stabilize the payments Germany had to make.

    Stalin was the Dictator of the USSR that came in power on October of 1926. His main goals were to turn Russia into an industrial powerhouse using Communism. He would terrorize his people so that they would be obedient, but to the people who were loyal to him he spread propaganda about him that made him look godlike. Russia prospered economically and industrially, but the life of the people who lived there was poor. Stalin aligned himself with the United States and Britain during WWII.

    The Great Depression was the economic downfall jump-started by the Stock Market Crash of 1929. It affected people globally who had businesses or invested in them, because this was most of the population inflation caused the rest to become impoverished also. Programs like the New Deal tried to fix the Depression, but could only ease its effect. The Great Depression was a factor in WWII because not only did it make the countries significantly weaker economically, but it let Hitler come in power.

    Japan invades Manchuria- September 1931
    The Japanese, one of the upcoming super powers, invaded Manchuria on September 1931 in hopes to take it over with the rest of East Asia. They had invested a large amount of money in Manchuria and they wanted it back after the Depression hit so they took it over and started taking over other places in East Asia. This made the world powers acknowledge Japan and forced them from becoming too strong. It played a factor in WWII because it was one of the causes of the war and Japan entering it.

    In October of 1933 Germany decided that they would leave the League of Nations and withdraw from the disarmament conference. They said that they would arm themselves if the allies didn't . They refused so Hitler said that he would take any equal agreements on on disarming his country, but they didn't give him equality so he said that he wouldn't arm him self and would leave both the League and the conference. This led Hitler to secretly build his weapons and start the war.

    The Third Reich- January 1933
    The Third Reich was put in place by Hitler on January 1933 when he became the Chancellor of Germany. The Nazi Party created this empire so they could show that Nazism was superior to everything else and that the Germans were the master race. He created policies and programs to further Nazism and gain hegemony over Europe. Hitler was the main factor in WWII because he created the Third Reich which rejected the Treaty and caused the war.
