After Hitler allied with Austria he looked to become friends with Czechoslovakia. Both Hitler and Mussolini entered into an agreement with Britian and France that allowed Germany to occupy the German speaking area of Czechoslovakia known as Sudetenland. This response from Germany because they realized they failed to maintain peace following Germany's invasion on Poland. Britain had no choice to stand up to Hitler's Aggressive plan. They declared war on September 3rd,1939 this officially began World war 2.
