With the signing of this treaty Germany was forced to agree to severe punishments at the official end of WWI -
Establishment of the League of Nations
The League of Nations is now known as the United Nations, it's goal was to negotiate between countries and harbour peaceful relations on the international level. -
Beer Hall Putsch
Adolf Hitler and his nazi party started a coup d'etat in a beer hall. Several people died but the coup failed and HItler was jailed for a time. -
Dawes Plan
Since Germany obviously couldn't pay the 132 billion Gold Marks without help, they created this plan to invest in the German economy and stabilize it. -
Locarno Pact
In the interest of international peace they created this pact. It clarified international borders and promised Germany entry into the League of Nations -

Benito takes power of Italy after leaving the socialist party. He is a fascist leader but is loved by his people. -
Kellogg- Briand Pact
Was an agreement to try to prevent war, but it didn't specify what self-defense was and no countries acted by sanctioning transgressing countries. It ultimately failed. -
USA Stock Market Crash
On black tuesday the stock market crashed, this was because everybody was trying to sell their stocks, but nobody was buying stocks, and so everybody suffered. -
Japan invades Manchuria
Japan lost control of its army posted in the resource rich province of China, Manchuria, and watched as their army took over the territory. The League of Nations could not do anything as the government had lost control of their army, and nobody would impose trade sanctions on Japan. -
HItler is appointed Chancellor of Germany
Initially they tried to appoint a less extreme leader but the support for Hitler only grew so they were left with no choice. As soon as he came into power the country turned into the fascist state of Nazi Germany. -

Benito Mussolini takes control of Ethiopia in a bid for power and resources during the Great Depression -
Germany reoccupies the Rhineland
In one of the terms in the Treaty of Versailles, Germany was to have no military presence in the Rhineland, but as you can see here, they violate said term. -
Rome-Berlin Axis
This is the adolescent stage of the Pact of steel, Japan later joins the axis powers. This is after Germany reoccupies the Rhineland -
Anti-Comintern Pact
A pact agreeing to never be communists, signed between Japan and Germany, later joined by Italy. Happened after the Rome-Berlin Axis -
German Anschluss with Austria
Hitler bullies the Austrian government to the point where they agree to being annexed into Germany with the threat of annexing or annihilation. -
Munich Agreement
Foreign powers gave the Sudetenland in Czechoslovakia to Germany without consulting Czechoslovakia. They did this in hopes of international peace. Germany didn't stop at the Sudetenland though, and later wanted more. -
Germany Occupies Czechoslovakia
Shortly after the Sudetenland is given to Germany, Germany takes over Czechoslovakia. -
Nazi-Soviet Non-aggression Pact
A pact between Russia and Germany detailing how they won't invade each other for at least 10 years. It includes how they would divide Eastern EUrope in later years. Because of this Pact Poland will receive no help if Germany tries to invade them.
Germany invades Soviet Russia 2 years after the pact is formed. -
Germany invades Poland. WWII has begun.
Because of the Nazi-Soviet Non-aggression pact Poland receives no aid from Russia when Germany invades. Poland quickly falls back under German rule. Apparently this is the final straw for Britain as Britain now declares war on Germany.
