    The Boston Party was in Boston, Massachusetts. They colonists and a group call the Sons of Liberty threw the tea out of the ships and burned the ships so the harbor couldn't be used. They did this because of how upset they were about the taxes and they were rebelling.

  • Battle of Trenton and Princeton

    Battle of Trenton and Princeton
    General George Washington and his troops crossed the icy Deleware. The Americans defeated the British in both of these battles causing them to have control of New Jersey and greatly improved their morale and unity.

    General George Washington lead the Continental Army to a winter camp at Valley Forge. The winter camp was 22 miles away from the British occupied Philadelphia. Hundreds of American soldiers died of disease while at Valley Forge. (history.com)

    There was actually two Battles of Saratoga. They were 18 days apart and it was a turning point in the American Revolution. The British had the victory in the first battle but then the American army got the victory in the second battle due to the British surrendering.

    This was the worst defeat for the Americans because of the unconditional surrender. The British captured 3000 Patriots and they only lost about 250 of their own.

    General George Washington lead a force of 17000 against the British. It was the most important battle of the Revolutionary War because it ended with the British surrendering to the Americans ending the war for independence.
