Long-term Planning
This two month cycle will be used as an introduction to one of many teaching models that Castle View may choose to implement, increasing the use of educational technology in the classroom. Ultimately, over the next instructional year, teachers will be introduced to multiple models of implementation. -
Prepare - Trainer of Trainers
During a grade level team meeting, teachers will participate in a "flipped classroom" exercise, in order to learn the components of a flipped classroom. Prior to the meeting, teachers will learn about "Flipping the Classroom" through Jenn Williams' TEDx. When teachers attend the grade level meeting, they will use a Google Doc to create a graphic that will display the necessary components of a flipped classroom.

Analyze/Reflect
During the grade level team meeting, teachers will reflect on the effectiveness of their "flipped classroom" lesson. Prior to the grade level meeting, grade level teams will create a 60 second Flipgrid to share their reflections following their lesson implementation. Flipgrids will be reviewed as a staff during the team meeting to analyze the effectiveness of the "Flipped Classroom" model.
