  • The Compact of 1802

    The Compact Of 1802 was signed in 1802 by Thomas Jefferson. It promised the Indians better land over in Oklahoma. And it took their rights away so they were forced to leave their land in the near future.
  • First Land Lottery

    When the Cherokee had given up some of their land the government had divided it up and held land lotteries to people who where over 18, White, Male, Orphans, And widdows. 40 Acres costed around $10 and it was only used to fund the lottery.
