The Wedding
Patria is to Marry her soul mate Pedrito Gonzales -
The New guy
Virgilio Morales comes to town with his cousin. Minerva and Dede both have a sort of infatuation with him but MInerva wins his heart. -
The second Wedding
Dede agrees to marry Jaimito. The same night that Virgilio Morales left town. But not before he extended an invitation to Minerva. Dede, for some reason, took the note Virgilio had inteded for Minerva, and burned it before she could see it. -
A new family
Minerva, while out on an outraged drive, discovers her fathers other family. 4 girls all younger than 12 and thei little girls mother. All of whom, her father had been hiding in a little yellow cottage near the house. -
The Party
Trujillo has the Discovery Day Dance which the Mirabal family attends. Trujillo comes onto Minerva while they are danceing and before she can think about it, she has slapped him square across his face. -
The Funeral
Maria Teresa, her sisters and family attend the funeral of her Father. He had a heart attack while he was in jail and he died. -

Another Wedding
Maria Teresa and Leandro Rodriguez are married -

The Retreat
Patria goes on the missions retreat to Constanza. There, she witnesses the death of a boy about her sons age when she and others are running for their lives. The event leaves her slgihtly scared. -

The Plan
The groups would all gather in Patiras home to arm themselves with guns and such for the Rebelion -
The Release
After Patria talks with Pena about her son in jail, he agrees to release Nelson along with the other Minors. It is a wonderful day for Patria to see her son again and her daughter to see her brother. -
Visiting
The remaining family that is not in jail is granted permission from Trujillo to visit with their family that is in jail once a week. That makes everyone very happy indeed. -

Leaving
Dede decides that she is no longer happy in her marriage with Jaimito and she decides to leave him. -
The Arrests
Leandro, Pedrito, Nelson, Minerva, Maria Teresa and Manolo are all arrested within a number of days. Leaving the rest of the family scared, depressed, and uncertain of their future. -
Death
Trujillo was killed by 7 assassins who were supposidly part of his army -
