Jamito who is in love with Dede asks Minerva if Lio is asking her to leave the country with him. Lio is being exiled due to his "crimes" against the state. Minerva tells him that he hasn't -
Minerva learns about her father's secrets
She finds letters from lio to her, she reads them finds his invitation to go into exile with him, after the fourth letter Lio realizes and accepts that his proposal has been denied. Minerva feels like she missed out on a noble life with Lio. Minerva slaps Trujillo
Papa is invited to a party put on by Trujillo, and Minerva and the sisters are also specifically invited. During the party Trujillo forces Minerva to dance with him. While they are dancing he approches her in a sexual and vulgar way so she slaps him, he seems to brush it off at the time, but this even will comeback to haunt minerva in the future -
