Birth
Imre Lakatos was born and became a Hungarian-born philosopher of math and science. (Musgrave and Pigden, 2016) Lakatos’ main contribution to philosophy of science was the idea of a research program. However, unlike Kuhn, Lakatos believed in multiply research programs in a science field at any given time. He believed competition in research programs helped the progression or science as well as helped the rationalization of science. -
