    Iosif Vissarionovich Dzhugashvili is born in the village of Gori in Georgia, which is part of the Russian empire.

  • Benito Mussolini was born

    Dovia di Predappio (Emilia Romagna) to father Alessandro, a black smith, and mother Rosa Mussolini;

  • ·Stalin enters Gori Church School.

    Stalin begins basic studies at the Gori Church School. Even though he speaks Georgian at home, he is permitted to speak only Russian at school due to the rules of Tsar Alexander III.

  • Adolf Hitler was born

    Adolf Hitler is born in an inn in the Austrian village of Braunau-am-Inn. He is the third child of Alois Hitler and his third wife Klara, but the other two children had died in infancy. Adolf has a half-brother, Alois Jr, and a half sister, Angela, from Alois' last marraige.
    Adolf's younger brother, Edmund, would be born in 1896. Another sister, Paula, would be born in 1896 and would outlive Adolf, dying in 1960.
