    Emperor Atron "of Atroulia"

    Widely regarded as the first recorded father of the empire and the homage of its namesake, Atron was the first to begin uniting territories across the coasts. In his rule would be the last of the 'Hereditary' bloodline of the Empire, as he died at the age of 23, having failed to produce an heir.

    The War of Crowns

    Following the death of the last Hereditary emperor of Atroulia, the First Empire was formally dissolved into warlord states, many of which claimed the mantle of the First Empire. After Seven years of brutal warfare, the warring factions, fearing bordering bands of savages, banded together once more and established the official 'Imperial Elective.' While these states are now unknown, they harken back to some of the most powerful lands of the empire, along the heartland sea.

    Induction of Imperial Elective

    Following the War of Crowns, the Imperial Elective was established. Incredibly minimal in stature, the Elective was devoid of many of its current additions; being there was no 'Elector' role, and the vassal states of the various imperial members were not considered actual territory. Although incredibly primited, it has been pin-pointed that this was the origin of the process that has govenered the empire since.

    Induction of the Imperial Assembly

    Four years following the introduction of the elective, the Assembly was created as to begin work on the initial issues that had caused the former empire to split, rather than assuming a new royal line. Although minimal, the idea of 'laws' and 'regulations' began to circulate amongst imperial subjects, slowly codifying into new ideas.

    Codification of Abolition of Slavery

    Officially established as the first 'Codified' Law of the empire, the Abolition of slavery came as a joint effort from every member to curb the slavery of each others races; thereby improving relations henceforth by a degree simply astronomical. Additionally, this came as a prominent first step of the Empire, being the first unanimous agreement of every member state, though would remain as one of the few ever agreed upon.

    Codification of Imperial Anti-Piracy and Raiding

    Following the trade war of East and West, the next codified imperial law would be the ban of Piracy and Raiding amongst subjects of Atroulia. While this disgruntled some of the more navally inclined subject-states, it would also bring forward the base-work for the current state of the Heartland Sea- as with a unified naval effort to wipe our piracy, the trade state of the Empire began to acclimate aggressively to its newfound security and lucrativeness.

    Imparator Misha'al "The Jaziran"

    The first Jaziran Emperor, during his 21 year rule, Misha'al worked to solidify Maridan hold over the Imperial Assembly, by coordinating closely with the Heartlander Humans of the South and fellow Jaziran Electors, his reign saw the first signs of visible racial disparities in the Imperium

    The Age of "Prosperity"

    Marking a dramatic shift in Imperial administration, to a new Empire focused more on matters the Interior, it saw Imperial edicts that exclusively favoured the Southern portion of the empire, with Imperial resources being invested in the Human regions, primarily those of Jazirah and the Southern Heartlands. Though it was called the Age of Prosperity, it was only Humans that came to benefit, at the expense of most others, the age saw the rule of seven Jaziran Emperors of the Maridah Dynasty.

    Imparator Hussam "The Just"

    The longest ruling of any Jaziran Emperor, Hussam's reign favoured a more egalitarian approach to Administration, and he would later be seen as a more open and accepting emperor, at least compared to his fellow Jazirans, his administration redistributed funds back to the northern realms, and enacted rulings more favourable to non-humans.

    Imparator Fahad "The Human"

    The second longest ruling Jaziran Emperor, and the nephew of Hussam, the young Fahad would carry out his duties in a markedly different manner than his Uncle, openly favouring the Human regions during his reign, and diverting as much funds as he could to ensure it would stand apart from the north, and ensuring the Maridan supporters were well rewarded for their support.

    Imparator Humayd "The Quiet"

    Humayd would continue the policies of his father Hussam, with Imperial attention focused on the development of the South and the expense of the North.

    Imparator Warith "The Stubborn"

    Like his father and elder brother, Warith would continue the policies of favouring the Southern Humans, however he would be the first Jaziran Emperor to enact edicts explicity favouring Humans, garnering the Maridan Dynasty much support in the south, at the expense of further dividing the wider Imperium, it is believed by many he was poisoned during one of his extravagent feasts, by a number of conspirators opposed to his anti-human stance.

    Imparator Salem "The Wrathful"

    The Jaziran Edicts had become widely hated across the lands of the Empire, so when Salem won the election promising a "shift" in policy, many were hopeful that the Human favouritism would be over, but not only did Salem continue the policies, he also did so in a much more zealous manner his reign was also marked by a number of revolts in the Northern region. Secessionist movements were planned, yet they would not come to pass- for he was assassinated.

    Imparator Bader "The Young"

    Bader promised to overturn the policies of his predecessors, even sending his sons to live in the North as guarantees, however upon his election, and the redistribution of funds to the north, and his reversal of anti-human policies, Bader began to rapidly lose support in the South, and as the North refused to grant wide support, Bader attempted to reach a compromise with the Southern Electors, shortly after news broke of this compromise, he and his sons would be assassinated.

    Known as the Stalwart, was able to secure Lordales position in Imperial politics for the next 161 years. Died of old age

    The Ordell Hegemony

    Officially noted in the Empire as the basis of Ordell importance in politics, the Ordell Hegemony oversaw the extent of politics controlled not by direct rule, as in the Jazirans 'Age of Prosperity' but rather by the likes of indirect influence. Although an Ordell would not always be ruling the throne, an Emperor would not be seen without an advisor of the family close-by, usually for advice or general understanding of how this would affect the relations with the powerful family.

    Emperor Lucius "The Mad"

    Known as the the mad, was elected as the grandson of Owyn, but did little to rule often leaving it to his advisors and brothers. Would was believed to have gotten sick and died, but some suspect murder

    Emperor Percy "The Builder"

    Known as the Builder, for his public works and focus on infrastructure. Despite Lucius's madness, Percy provide he was a capable heir and won or bribed enough support to secure an election. Died from an infection

    Induction of the Imperial Markets

    Following substantial issues with supply lines nation to nation, the now administratively over-extended empire would see the creation of the imperial markets; By purchasing supplies from a lower price and selling them at a slightly higher one, the Crown would be able to generate itself additional income. Additionally, having an open forum of trade produced more prosperity for the capital than ever seen before.

    Emperor Hyros IV "The Lion"

    A short-lived Emperor, Hyros IV allegedly fell in combat, only to be skinned and remade into some form of eccentric banner for the Auxiliary Corps of the empire. While widespread news, it has been formally and eternally ratified that he was intended to be buried in his home, rather than made as a macabre sort of display piece.

    The Codification of the Imperial Defense Pact

    After the loss of North-Western Lands to the ever-increasing hordes of beast-men and horse-riders, the Imperial Defense Pact would be officially codified to prevent such substantial territory loss from occurring further. Though such lands would be regained within the century, it would remain a long-standing ideal that the Empire would ensure the protection of its own.

    Emperor Logan "The Shrewd"

    Known as The Faithful, or the Shrewd. Was a devoted following of light, and attempt mostly unsuccessfully to spread it throughout the Empire. Grandon of Percy Logan was a shrewd leader able to reign in the chaotic mess of Imperial politics. He would be taken by the plague along with all his children. This marked the last time an Ordell sat on the imperial throne. The Archduchy passed to his brother Arin.

    Addendum of Non-Concurrent Elective

    Acting as a Power-Play for Ordell reputation, Emperor Logan of Lordale would formally perform the only successful addendum to the elective within the last several centuries. With a forty vote victory, he'd establish the ruler that not same state could ruler the empire twice in a row; instead, the election would be recalled and the double candidate cast off the voting options. Although a move that would see the Ordells unable to claim the next elective, it is a move that has been widely praised.

    Emperor Vargraeg "The Conservative"

    The formal originator of the Imperial Gunpowder ban, Vargraeg witnessed the induction of gunpowder weaponry as the possible makings of the end of the empire. Thusly, he formally banned the usage of gunpowder in the empire as a whole, to avoid an internal arms race. Its success and merit has been debated since its induction.

    Codification of Right to Imperial Trial

    A recent idea, the likes of the Assembly was utilized in a manner never seen in official capacity before; to act as judge and jury upon a state acting against the crown, codified laws, or the general security of the empire at large. Though largely unused bar the initial reason used (Oh which records have been erased and only hushed whispers spoken by those races who remember) the right to imperial trial remained codified, and has seen no additional usage since its founding.

    Emperor Linlan "The Fool"

    Sporting a thusly uneventful rule, Emperor Lilan of Smallfolk has acted as a monarch clearly only interested in his own gain; barely using the imperial armies or additional forces for any reasonable need, calling for action by imperial members rather than forming a official action first, and spending funds garnered for the imperial treasury incredibly loosely. Though not the worst of the Imperial Line, he has thus far shown that the Smallfolk vote was a mistake; and perhaps the electorship too.
